Natterjack toad Christmas card
Spread joy and spark a smile this holiday season with the unique and charming toad Christmas card!
The hand-drawn natterjack toad design coupled with bold pops of festive watercolour (in this case, a Christmas pudding!) is guaranteed to capture the hearts of your loved ones.
The animal art Christmas greeting card is perfect for those who embrace the unconventional and wish to add a touch of fun to their Christmas greetings this year. Whether you're sending holiday cheer to fellow wildlife enthusiasts or simply looking to surprise someone with a truly exceptional card, the Wild Lines toad Christmas card might just be the perfect choice.
The natterjack toad isn’t your regular common toad that you find in the toe of your welly and accidentally launch across the garden in shock as a small child (no? Just me?) It is an endangered species that has been the subject of conservation programmes for 50 years!
You probably won’t find this guy under your garden shed (unless you live on a sand dune or lure it in with its favourite food – Christmas pudding). In the UK, it is now restricted to around 60 sites, including along the Merseyside and Cumbrian coasts and on the Scottish Solway.
Its decline went hand-in-hand with the destruction of suitable habitat around the UK. Fortunately, reintroduction attempts to areas where the toads have recently gone extinct have proven fairly successful.
The Christmas card bundles are as eco friendly as possible; all Wild Lines cards are made using recycled board and packaged with recycled envelopes.
Printed by a specialist company in the UK, the print quality is brilliant and the cards durable. The cards are made to be treasured and we are always delighted to hear from customers and card recipients who choose to frame their greeting cards and hang them on their walls!
